I am extremely blessed to have almost 85% of my business each year come from repeat clients.  You all have no idea how much that means to me.   I LOVE seeing familiar faces at my sessions – there’s something about that familiarity with each other that helps the family relax because they already know and trust me … and for me, I already have a sense for who the family is, what the kids respond to/don’t respond to, and what their personality is that I want to capture.

But in that same breath …  I equally enjoy having the chance to welcome NEW members to the PBB family.  It’s an awesome challenge photographing a family for the first time – because one minute I’m introducing myself, and in the next minutes I’m trying to gain their trust, figure out what the kids respond to, and try to get a grasp on “who” the family is and capture that in a two-hour timeframe.   The phone consultations prior to the session help with some of that – but there’s nothing like actually meeting in person.

This family was one of those families that I met for the first time at our session.  What was great is that these guys wasted ZERO time showing me who they were and opening up and letting me capture “them.”  And it just got better as the session went on.  And although it was a bit chilly that day – that didn’t stop them from delivering an adorable, authentic, goofy, gorgeous family photo session that I couldn’t have loved more.   These two beautiful girls made me feel like a kid again with their spunk – and made me laugh out loud several times from behind the camera because of it too!

Great moment early on in the session.  One of my “tricks” with siblings – playing the “whoever laughs first loses.”  Little Miss on the left didn’t stand a chance… little sis, however, kept this face for a good minute while her older sis absolutely lost it in giggles.  Awesome.

Mom brought this sign.  And the girls showed why.

One of my favorite family shots from 2014.  Pure joy. Just LOVE it.

At the end of all of the giggles, silliness, goofiness and fun – are two sisters who really do love one another.  They look to each other for the next adventure.  If one laughs the other joins in.  A truly adorable little friendship.  And how fitting that one of the pictures they took together almost looks like the shape of a heart 😉  Thanks for sharing your family’s love with my lenses that day, you four.  You guys were incredible.  Until next time…
