This crew has become great friends of ours over the last year and a half. And last summer, I pretty much begged them to let me take some family photos for them until they couldn’t say no. This little lady has such an amazing, artsy look to her – such a curious little thing with one of my favorite personalities in a little kid – and I knew it would translate over in photographs. So this year – they added a new member to the family in the form of a handsome little man – and I was honored that they were the ones asking ME back to do another round of images for them to capture them as a family of four.
Mom told me they never got to do lake photos for their wedding, so we thought it would be fun to take advantage of the weather and give that to them for this session in addition to sneaking off into an area off the beaten path to add some variety to their final images! When they arrived, I simply sat back and let them do their thing as a family…
Don’t mind me – just chillin on the beach with my smile that never comes off my face.
Our friendship with these guys usually involves a lot of laughter, the occassional sports smack talking and a lot of text messages about reality TV! ha! But when it comes down to it – I couldn’t think more of these guys as friends, as a couple and as parents. They have this really amazing laid-back approach to life that is contagious when you’re around them… and that translates over to the happiness of their kids. We’re so happy that we know them and get to call them friends.
I love this picture of her! Simply gorgeous… although I hear there is a senior picture somewhere of her with a spinning basketball on her finger that’s on fire that might beat this one out! ha!
Thank you so much for this session guys – what a perfect night to photograph. You guys are the best – thanks for giving me the chance to turn you into photo-memory lovers 😉 Until next time (as in – who is hosting the next BBQ?!) …
P.S. – Note to summer family clients – never hurts to let your kids know that ice cream is waiting at the end of their session 😉
