I had the awesome opportunity to meet this family on a Saturday morning a couple of weeks ago… and I loved that they were up for an 8am call time to capture that early-morning soft lighting that I wish I could bottle up!

Despite there being a little last minute change in venue thanks to a “disappearing” location (thanks to Mom and Dad for your flexibility!) I had a great time chasing around (and getting chased by!) this little guy – while getting to watch his adorable little sister just sit back, smile and take it all in!

But don’t let the grin fool you. This was right as he was unlatching from Mom and Dad’s hand-hold to come after me with …..

… THE CLAWWWW!!

So… Mom told me prior to our session that this little dude thinks he is/wants to be a cowboy.  Which is a good thing considering how cute his little sister is… he’ll have to stand off with any boy that comes close! 🙂

One thing I LOVE is a fellow LOVER of photography.  This Mom showed me her family tree gallery that she already has hung in her home and I loved that she wanted more ideas about creating wall galleries with the images from this session.  And she did an awesome job selecting prints that go together and tell a story!  And all I know is that this one better be included somewhere… because it’s stunning!

A big thanks to this family for a really great early morning shoot.  Thank you so much for spending your time with me and allowing me to capture these memories for you!  (Even though I got “the clawww” several times!) You guys were great!  Until next time!
