I was beyond excited to walk into this photo shoot for so many reasons. One because I’ve known Mom and Dad for a few years now… two because I got to photograph them and their handsome little men last year … and three because I loved what Mom wanted to do with the style of photographing in this shoot. When we were talking leading up to it – she told me that she just wanted to capture the boys “as they are” every day – playing in the house/playroom/backyard so that she could capture this fun time with a 3- and 1-year old.
And we couldn’t have had more fun. My lens cap was off within about 2 minutes of walking in the door when I saw the littlest man of the house down to his diaper just finishing up his spaghetti dinner before getting his handsome on for the rest of the shoot… and the rest of these little moments were equally sweet!
Big bro was so excited to show me around their giant toy room (who needs a dining room?!!)
Mom shared with me that she loves the family time they have in the boys’ rooms in the evenings. And we had so much fun capturing those moments. There’s something about kids and books that melts my heart..
No bedtime quite yet though! Not before them wearing themselves down with some sporting activities!
I’ve neve seen kids who love to smile as much as these two do. Normally it’s a task getting everyone to smile, but this crew was a piece of cake!
These two are such a great couple. Both in their personalities as well as their teamwork parenting. I’ve been around these kids a couple of times now and EVERY SINGLE TIME they are so happy, fun and full-of-life – and the oldest is one of the most polite, sweet little things you will ever meet in your life (and I’m sure when the little guy starts talking, he’ll be the same) But I am a firm believer that kind of happiness only comes from parents who let them be who they are and are happy themselves. This duo is the epitome of that.
I cannot TELL you how much I enjoyed this session. SO MANY images that captured ALL of who you are as a family. I love that you wanted to capture these moments – I think the result is a group of images that you can look back on for years to come and remember “a day in the life” of your family with the boys at this age. You guys are awesome… thank you for all of the support! Until next time…
A big shout out to the four-legged member of the family who had to sit aside as he recovers from an injury! Sweet thing!
