This job is ridiculously rewarding for a trillion reasons… but one of those biggest ones is all of the incredible Moms that I have met along the way.

As a 2.5-year-old Mom myself who is only just beginning to experience the insane joys and the sometimes-taxing lows of motherhood – having the chance to work with so many of these amazing women has given me great inspiration, and also great perspective.  And it has CERTAINLY spiked my passion for finding more ways to celebrate Moms and encourage them.   Because if there’s one thing I’ve learned in working with all of you…  it’s that not one of us are the same… but at the same time… we are so. incredibly. the same.   We all want what’s best for our kids. We all try to be super-Mom.  We all struggle sometimes.  We all sacrifice.  We all love seeing our kids smile.    We are all hard on ourselves. We all struggle with guilt that we’re not doing enough.  We all do our best. And above all … we all know how lucky we are to have these little voices that call us Mom.

So today…. a shout out to my incredible Photography by Brea Moms…

The working ones.  The stay-at-home ones.  The brand new ones.  The three-times-over ones.  The ones who own their gorgeousness.  The ones who don’t realize how beautiful they are.  The superhero-like ones.  The sometimes-taken-for-granted ones.  The ones who have seen their children become ones.   The ones who have lost ones. The ones who yearn to be ones…and who SO deserve to be ones.

To every single one of you…   Thank you for sharing your beauty and your awesomeness with my camera over these last 12 months.   And on this Mother’s Day weekend…  my hope for all  us is that we continue to have compassion for each other as fellow Moms, but, maybe more importantly, that we have compassion for ourselves as well.
