When I was thinking about my first session post for 2013, I knew that I wanted it to be none other than the newborn session I’m about to share with you.  This one took me to Erie, PA – where I spent time with my cousin and her hubby … two people who have deserved to be parents for a really long time … who were finally getting the chance to see their love displayed in the form of a beautiful little girl.  And what an absolute honor and joy it was to be the one to document their first few days as a family.

I’m so used to working with brand new parents… running only on adrenaline… just trying to figure out their new world.  But, when I walked into this home, it felt as though this baby had been there forever. These two were such naturals as parents… and the result was the most content little girl who barely made a peep the entire time I was there … and looked pretty darn adorable doing it.

It’s not often that I get to do a Steeler picture living in Ohio — so I jumped on the opportunity to bring a Terrible Towel into this image.  And how FUN is her outfit?  This was given as a gift to Mom and Dad at the shower. (They didn’t know the gender of the baby, so the gifter included a bow “just in case” – love it!)

Someone wanted to let me know that she needed just a little break from all of the paparazzi 🙂

Oh, you two.  What an absolute HONOR this was to do this for you.  I wish you so much joy in all of the little moments that are about to come in your new lives as a family of three… and I hope THIS feeling lasts forever.  Love you all!  Until next time…
