I usually don’t like January very much (the whole “the holidays are over and now it’s just cold and dreary” thing) but all of these babies this month have changed it all for me.  I am so lucky to be meeting some of the sweetest, newest little lives over the last couple of weeks!

I met this Mom through a really dear friend of mine and we’ve had her due date on my calendar since early Fall. This tiny baby girl decided to arrive a week late… and I’ve decided that she must have spent that last week getting her beauty sleep … because she made her debut looking absolutely perfect…

Oh… this photo.  This was one of my favorite all-time moments as a newborn photographer.   As we’re getting this shot it was so quiet and calm in the house, and Mom lays her head down on Dad’s shoulder and says, “I just want to remember this exact moment forever.”  I immediately got tears in my eyes… because THAT is why I do what I do.  So special…

So here’s to remembering this moment, and all of the ones that you don’t even know are going to happen yet. You guys are amazing. Thanks for everything.  Until next time….
