Unfortunately, due to the rain on Friday of Oil City session weekend, I had to reschedule a couple of my outdoor family photo shoots. The good news – one of my sessions was this a-dore-a-ble little newborn buddy who I got to photograph under the roof of his brand new home (no need for an umbrella!) just three days after he arrived in the world.
This angel belongs to the little sister of one of my best friends. She was “that” little sister who used to cry when we wouldn’t let her tag along when we played outside… and who used to peak down from the top of the stairs when we had a bunch of girls together for a sleepover. And now? She is a grown-up, amazing mother of two who has a really great person to call her husband.
What made it more special? We photographed in their home that used to belong to her grandmother… a place that she and her sister spent a lot of time in as kids. And I thought… how comforting it must be to them to know that Grandma is constantly watching over this little bundle and his big brother…
While I haven’t spent a lot of time with Dad in the past, it didn’t take long (3 hours of a session to be exact) to see what a really great person he is… both in his interaction with his wife and with these two little boys. Happy that my pseudo-little sister ended up with someone like him…
Still hard to believe that she is a Mom now. But so evident that this is what she was meant to do in life.
AND THIS guy… Big brother is incredibly proud to have that title now. And how can you not fall in love with this smile?

CONGRATULATIONS you guys! So glad that this little dude arrived JUST in time for this session to be a reality! Kel, I’m so happy to see the awesome person you’ve become and so glad to see the happiness you’ve found. Congrats to all of you on your beautiful family. Hope to see you again soon. Until next time…
P.S. – This wouldn’t be a complete blog without putting this photo of Aunt and Uncle’s big moment in front of the camera with their newest nephew. If you can’t beat em… join em, right?
