To say I’m behind on blogging (thanks to all of you keeping me so busy photographing and editing over the last several months) might be the understatement of the century. But I’m VOWING to get myself caught up here… especially when I have photos of families like this one on deck!
I don’t know what it is – but I feel like I’ve known this family for years. It could be because Mom and I have exchanged novel emails to each other in our interactions leading up to and after our sessions, or because this is the third time I’ve had the honor of working with them in 9 months (see some shots from their maternity and newborn sessions here), or because they’re the type of people that make you feel comfortable and unbelievably welcome when you meet them. Regardless – to say I was excited to see them again for their little guy’s 6-month session is … well… is in a tie for the OTHER understatement of the century.
Dad picked up this tie for the little man when he was in New Orleans. Looking like a slick little business man if you ask me. (A slick little business man who looks like someone just told him his budget is cut!)
Speaking of Dads… this guy is an awesome one. And one of the little man’s favorite places to be is right here on his shoulder. And well, pretty much anywhere his Dad is.
We interrupt our regularly scheduled programming for this People Magazine cover photo shot. (I’m pretty sure I told her that she should be a model and she made some crazy comment about how she couldn’t do that… is anyone else on Team Brea in regards to this topic?!)
Melt. My. Heart.
You three. Thank you so much for your truly unbelievable support. (And I will never forget your gesture, either!) It has been SUCH a pleasure getting to know you guys over the last year. It’s breaking my heart that I can’t be there to help celebrate his first birthday (that whole “I could be in labor” thing is a bit of a problem) but looking forward to seeing you guys again soon in the next couple of months. Until then….
